Connecting to and Using Compute Nodes
Compute Nodes
Machines and instances powered by cutting edge AI-accelerators. Currently only accessible as BareMetal servers.
Reserving Compute Nodes
Before you start using compute nodes, you must reserve servers. Navigate to “Cloud Servers” via the sidebar. Here you can see a chart listing all the servers currently in use by your organization, with information you might find relevant.
To add a server to the chart, click on “Add Server” on the upper right.
On the next screen choose a Server-Group which you think is the most appropriate as well as the user group you want to assign the compute node to. As server-groups are organized according to region, you will only see those from regions available to you.
Choose a Server-group to proceed.
Now, you will choose the specifications for your compute node. On this screen, the available Server-types within your selected server group are categorized based on their specifications.
After choosing a Server-type, you will enter a new screen with further customization options for your compute node.
Options Include
- Storage
- OS
- Any additional software you might require
Use the credit-calculator below to finalize your reservation, and then agree to the Terms of Service and press “Reserve”. On the final confirmation screen, press “Reserve” again. The credits will be consumed and the server should be ready for use after about 10-15 minutes.
