Credits and Credit Wallets

Credits

Access to compute-nodes is granted through the exchange of credit. The amount exchanged depends on the specs of the chosen compute nodes and the amount of time they are reserved for.

Credit-Wallets

Credits are stored in Credit-Wallets. When you initially sign up, two credit-wallets are automatically created.

One is the “Admin Wallet”. This is the wallet assigned to the organization and is only used as a bank for credits when you first purchase them.

The Admin Wallet can only have credits transferred in and out of it—credits stored inside cannot be exchanged for node access. Regardless of how many administrators there are, there can only be one Admin Wallet per organization.

The other is a wallet for the ‘default’ user-group. credits stored inside this wallet can be used to reserve compute node access.

Buying Credits

Important!
Only Administrators can view the Billing Page, and as such, buy or transfer credits

Credits are purchased through the Billing Page. You can access it through the settings section of the sidebar.

To purchase credits, first add a payment method.

This is done by clicking on Create Payment Method, and adding the details of a credit card. Take notice that Payment Methods, regardless of who added them, are linked to the organization, not the user group.

Then, simply click detail on your chosen wallet and click ‘Credit Purchase’ afterwards.

Add the amount to be charged and press ‘Purchase’. After one more confirmation the credits will be added immediately to your chosen wallet.

Additionally, make sure that you always have the credits to keep computing by adding a wallet minimum and an amout to auto-charge. This will act as the trigger for the auto-charge function, making sure that your wallet is always topped off.
